SALES LEAD

Position Summary:

The Firearm Sales Lead is responsible for maintaining Customer Service, Sale of Firearms, and leadership of multiple Sales Associates. They perform various selling/customer service activities, to include greeting and acknowledging all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, providing information, assistance, and direction to customers. This is a supervisory position with responsibilities such as ATF Compliance, Opening and Closing of the Retail Shop, Coaching and Mentoring Staff on their sales abilities.

Essential Functions:

  • Supports a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensures a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers. Provides a legendary experience for every customer, every time by assisting customers in making buying decisions by:
    • Identifying and evaluating customers’ needs.
    • Making product recommendations.
    • Promoting programs including, but not limited to Range Membership, and Firearm Training.
  • Ensures 4473 Forms are completed thoroughly and accurately.
  • Coach sales staff on their ability to sell firearms and accessories.
  • Manage sales staff to ensure every customer is assisted in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrating product to customers.
  • Organizes and maintains Merchandise within the Retail Store.
  • Replenishes product on shelves as required per merchandising guidelines.
  • Remains product “expert” through ongoing product knowledge training.
  • Remains knowledgeable of advertised sales; maintains pricing and signing.
  • Assists with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
  • Keeps work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
  • Follows all company policies and procedures.
  • Manager on Duty when required.
  • All other duties assigned.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in Retail or Sales or Management.
  • Experience: 1+ years of Management Experience.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge and Experience Product knowledge of Firearms, Accessories and Ammunition.
  • Knowledge in ATF Federal and State Regulations.
  • Customer Service and Sales of Firearms and Ammunition.
  • Ability to Merchandise and Stock Merchandise.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and manage, a team of sales associates.

Physical Requirements:

  • Constantly stand and/or walk during shift.
  • Occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
  • Constantly communicate with others to exchange information.
  • Occasionally repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
  • Occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools.
  • Occasionally operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment.
  • Light work that includes moving objects up to 60 pounds constantly, may occasionally move and lift objects up to 150 pounds or more. (Utilizing a team lift as needed)
  • Occasionally work in tight and confined spaces.
  • Occasionally work in noisy environments.

Independent Judgement:

  • Performs tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices.

CUSTOMER SERVICE LEAD

Position Summary:

The Customer Service Lead is first and foremost responsible for maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. They are also responsible for managing the customer service associates and supervising the flow of traffic through the store. They oversee the daily operation of both the range and retail areas and are tasked with opening the shop, counting down registers at the close of business, and securing the building at the end of the day. They also facilitate morning meetings, supervise daily cleaning and maintenance, and hold the customer service staff accountable for their assigned duties. They lead by example greeting all customers in a prompt and friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction. The Customer Service Lead will also assist in the sale of firearms, accessories, training, and memberships.

Essential Functions:

  • Support a strong commitment to world class customer service and ensure a pleasant and productive experience for all customers.
  • Maintain a safe environment both on and off the range.
  • Encourage teamwork and coach staff on creating positive customer interactions.
  • Ensure every customer is assisted in a timely manner.
  • Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints with patience and provide immediate resolutions.
  • Provide administrative support to instructors, sales associates, and managers.
  • Assist in organizing and maintaining Merchandise within the Retail Store.
  • Pursue competency and expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
  • Assure the shop is clean, neat, and merchandise is well stocked.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
  • Manager on Duty when required.
  • All other duties assigned.

  • Basic Product knowledge of Firearms, Accessories and Ammunition Preferred.
  • Ability to lead, coach, and manage, a team of associates.
  • Ability to make decisions and troubleshoot issues on the fly.
