This 2 hour class, limited to 10 students, is intended for young shooters who would like to learn more about firearm safety and operations. THIS COURSE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL YOUTHS FROM 8 TO 15 YEARS OF AGE WHO WISH TO SHOOT AT GRANITE STATE INDOOR RANGE. Student must be at least 48” tall and possess a maturity level for handling live firearms and sitting in a class environment.
This is a basic orientation course designed for juveniles to ensure that they fully understand our range rules and firearms safety, and can shoot competently as a foundation for shooting safely at Granite State Indoor Range.
The class begins with the fundamentals of firearm safety, a review of GSIR Range Rules, nomenclature of firearms and ammunition, and general operation of firearms. This course will also provide the young shooter with an overview of handgun types, and rifles. On the range each class member is given the opportunity to fire 10 rounds with a .22 caliber pistol and rifle.
All shooting supervision and classroom instruction is provided by certified firearms instructors. A parent must accompany each youth, but will not shoot and will not be charged.
All instruction materials, targets, firearms, ammo and safety equipment are provided by Granite State Indoor Range.
Course Fee: $25
All graduates of the course will receive a Certificate of Completion and will be qualified to shoot at our range.
MINIMUM AGE FOR THIS COURSE IS 8 YEARS OLD.
Cancellation Policy: We reserve the right to cancel any class at our discretion without any prior notice. If we do so we will reschedule you or refund your money. We request at least 48 hours prior notice for rescheduling a class at no additional cost. Within 48 hours will result in $50 fee. Failure to show up and notify will result in forfeiting the course fee. No Exceptions.
