This 2 1/2 hour course is designed to work on existing pistol skills that the student would like to continue practicing and master. The student needs to know and be able to demonstrate safe gun handling, weapon system familiarity, foundational marksmanship skills and working from a holster. At a minimum the student should be a graduate of Practical Handgun GSIR-200 or pass a qualification with an instructor.
While instructors in this course will formulate an agenda and course of fire based on the needs of the students, drills and techniques will include:
- Efficient presentation/draw techniques
- Fundamental marksmanship
- Shooting then moving
- Alternative shooting positions
- Single hand techniques
- Multiple target engagement
- And more…
All instruction materials, targets, and safety equipment are provided by Granite State Indoor Range.
The student is required to provide 150 rounds of FMJ ammunition and a sturdy 1.5” belt. The student may also bring a handgun (no revolvers), a dominant side belt mounted/paddle holster, belt mounted/paddle magazine pouch, and a total of 3 magazines. If needed, firearms, holsters, and magazine pouches as a complete kit are available by loan from GSIR at no cost. GSIR will not provide firearms, holsters, and magazine pouches separately.
The student is expected to come prepared with long pants and closed toe shoes. Please no low cut shirts.
Course Fee: $60
All graduates receive a certificate of completion and a FREE non-transferable 10-day range pass and a 5% discount on any firearm and accessories purchase up to 14 days after the class. Also, a 20% discount off any course taken within 30 days of completion of this class.
Cancellation Policy: We reserve the right to cancel any class at our discretion without any prior notice. If we do so we will reschedule you or refund your money. We request at least 48 hours prior notice for rescheduling a class at no additional cost. Within 48 hours will result in $50 fee. Failure to show up and notify will result in forfeiting the course fee. No Exceptions.
